Felix Speight
Felix Speight is a passionate community advocate, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner who made Ephrata his home five years ago after relocating here from North Carolina. Originally from Virginia and a Brown University alumnus, Felix brings years of experience in community publishing, both in print and online.
Felix has three grown children, two grandchildren, and his faithful side kick Jade (his cat). Felix values the deep connections formed in tight-knit communities. He believes Ephrata offers a unique and vibrant character, with a rich history, lively arts scene, charming local attractions, and abundant green spaces, truly a place where there’s always something to discover.
Felix is deeply committed to supporting the Ephrata homeless population, many of whom he has come to know as friends. As a born-again Christian, he is committed to sharing and modeling God’s word. Felix also enjoys collaborating with local business owners to help them to grow and thrive, while firmly believing that together, as a community, we are stronger and more capable than we can ever become as single individuals. His guiding principle is based upon the words of Theodore Roosevelt - “Do what you can, with what you’ve got, where you are.”

Samantha Peffer
Samantha, who goes by Sam, is a graduate of Millersville University and brings with her a genuine love for reading and writing across all genres of literature. She has a passion for hearing and sharing stories that shine light, uplift others, and celebrate what is good—especially in a world that can often feel heavy.
We are excited to have Sam as part of Ephrata Living and look forward to her helping tell the stories of the people, places, and moments that make our community such a special place to call home.
